Heart Screening Scheme –
Help us to keep this scheme affordable and available for all Wolfhound owners. Annual heart screening has shown that you can identify conditions developing and treat early and extend the life of your hound. Incidence of Dilated Cardiomyopathy have significantly decreased since the advent of regular screening.
Pneumonia Project
A critical ongoing research attempting to identify what, if any, triggers or underlying issues make some Irish Wolfhounds susceptible to life threatening pneumonia. To get this condition accepted and recognised as something real for our breed and ensure fast and appropriate treatment.
